The Varem Extravarem LC 18-Litre Expansion Vessel is a commercial-grade, WRAS-approved safety device designed specifically for unvented domestic hot water (DHW) storage systems. When water is heated within a sealed, unvented cylinder, it naturally expands. Because water is non-compressible, this expansion creates a dangerous build-up of hydraulic pressure. The Extravarem LC absorbs this expanded water volume into its internal chamber, maintaining a stable system pressure and preventing the cylinder's high-limit pressure relief valve (PRV) from constantly dripping or lifting.
